| Song on Sony PlayStation game/soundtrack |
| Sat, Jul. 1 2006 |
| Almost a year ago, I bid on and got a gig with Sony PlayStation to re-write, produce, record and sing a track for their game Rogue Galaxy (part 3 in the series of Dark Cloud games). So far, I believe it's only been released in Japan and Europe. Check it out (if you can read Japanese!) Here's a link to the soundtrack. Rogue Galaxy is an epic role-playing game (RPG) with intense graphics and music and an involved story. Composer Tomohito Nishiura scored the soundtrack. My track is the ending-credit theme which I titled "Dreaming My Way Home." Unlike most game music, the song is gentle and lulling, a pirate-adventurer's yearning for home after eons of battle.
That was fun! Looking forward to more projects like this one once the little one's in school full time... |

| Hi. Welcome to my new temporary website. I promise to stay more in touch!
I love my other, fancy Flash site (thanks, Jeff St. Pierre!), but I just couldn't manage to change it easily. Which is why there was some old news for so long! Until I can update and adjust that site, I am using a "starter site" from my husband's company, Nimbit Services. It's incredible how easy it is to get up and running on the web, and keep your audience connected with all the easy-to-use tools.
Just thought I'd give a quick plug, and say "Thanks, Nimbit!"

| TV Music |
| Thu, Apr. 13 2006 |
| Songs continue to pop up on TV shows - Grown Up Love Songs, Baby, That Hurricane,
and a collaboration with Terry Silverlight called "True" are a few recent placements.
It's such a joy to be at home with my kids - my 8 year old in school full time, and my 3 year old part-time at pre-school -
and to be working on new music, sometimes with people in distant cities!
My life would make an interesting spin on those old happy housewife appliance commercials-
there's me, a cookbook in one hand, vacuuming between vocal takes... |

| Happy Birthday To Me! |
| Thu, Apr. 13 2006 |
| I am so happy. Just wanted to post it!
Here is a great quote about the way music can feel (from "The Education of Little Tree" by Forrest Carter - my book club just finished it).
Pine Billy played his fiddle in the dusk evenings of that summer. Could be it was because the world was coming to a end, but his music was sad.
It made you feel like this was the last summer; that you had already left it and wanted it back, and here you was all the time. You wisht he hadn't started playing, for you ached-and then you hoped he wouldn't stop. It was lonesome.
By the way, I'm loving this new Jack Johnson CD, In Between Dreams |

| In-The-Round Show Just Added |
| Thu, Apr. 13 2006 |
My old friend Greg Greenway just called to see if I'd join him on a multi-artist bill on Saturday, November 26th (Thanksgiving Weekend). The idea is that we'd all do individual short sets, and then swap songs and sing and play together. A songwriter jam (fun!) along with Greg, Reggie Harris, and John Flynn.

| BK to Judge Daytime Emmy's! |
| Thu, Apr. 13 2006 |
| I was selected as a judge of the 2005-2006 Daytime Emmys - thanks to my notoriety as a freelance "composer and lyricist" on all those daytime dramas...
Between my work on songs for soaps and all the cartoons my kids watch, I'm well-versed in the daytime music genre, that's for sure. |
